Hello, we are a group of Natural History students from the University of Washington in Seattle dedicated to bringing fellow students and visitors closer to our resident UW squirrels. Explore the site and learn more about our furry friends!



If you were wondering about the URL of our website, Jopa is what we decided to call an exceptionally friendly squirrel we met on campus and see all the time. He was the inspiration for our project. Meet Jopa yourself on the UW campus at Grieg Garden!

 Please note, there is only one species of squirrel on the UW campus, the Eastern Gray. We will be looking at this species in depth throughout this website, but we do have a few tabs devoted to other species throughout the state. Enjoy!
